Site diary

The day written down as it happens, not reconstructed on Friday afternoon.

A site diary open on Thursday 10 September 2026. A strip of day cards across the top shows each day of the week with its forecast, temperature and chance of rain, with Thursday selected. Below the date is a summary reading rainy, 11 to 18 degrees, and an entry box prompting: what happened today, instructions given, delays and their causes. Beneath it the day's timeline begins with two tasks due.

The site diary settles arguments about what happened on a given day, and it is the record most often written from memory a week later.

What it does

  • Record the day from the phone while standing in it, with or without signal
  • Log activity on the phone’s Home: anybody on the team says what they did, adds photos and taps what held them up, in about ten seconds, with no hours to fill in
  • Turn what held somebody up into a delay record, with the cause already filled in
  • Attach photographs taken the same day
  • Capture the weather, the labour on site and what was actually done
  • Mark a day as closed with no work carried out, and say why

Why it matters on site

A diary written on the day is worth something in a dispute. One written from memory is worth an argument. Doing it on the phone at the end of the shift is the difference.

Which plan

This is included in every plan, from £149 a month. Plans differ by how many people they seat, not by what the software does. See pricing.

How to use it

The manual page for this is in the Help Centre, and it is the same guide SiteBot reads inside the app. Read the guide.
