How do I get started with BuildersAI?

Download the BuildersAI app from the App Store or Google Play. Create an account with your email address, verify your email, and you're ready to go. New users get access to a demo project to explore all features before creating their own.

How do I invite team members to my project?

Go to the People tab in your project, tap the 'Invite' button, and enter your team member's email address. Select their role and profession, and they'll receive an email invitation. Once they accept, they'll appear in your team list automatically.

Can I use BuildersAI without an internet connection?

Yes! BuildersAI is built for construction sites with spotty signal. You can take photos, view downloaded plans, and browse cached team information offline. Everything syncs automatically when you're back online.

How does the AI assistant work?

The AI assistant can answer questions about your project, plans, and documents. Simply open the chat from your project dashboard and ask anything—like 'What's the spec for the foundation depth?' or 'When was the electrical plan last updated?'

How do I upload construction plans?

Project admins can upload plans from the Plans tab. Tap the '+' button, select your PDF files, and assign each plan to a discipline (Architectural, Structural, Electrical, etc.). Plans are instantly available to your whole team.

What file types can I upload?

BuildersAI supports PDFs, images (JPG, PNG), Word documents, and Excel spreadsheets. For construction plans, we recommend PDF format for the best viewing experience on mobile devices.

How does photo tagging work?

When you take or upload a photo, our AI automatically suggests relevant tags based on what's in the image. You can accept, edit, or add your own tags. This makes it easy to find specific photos later using the search function.

What are the subscription tiers?

We offer three tiers: Free (up to 5 team members), Starter (up to 20 team members), and Professional (100+ team members). All tiers include full access to photos, plans, files, AI assistant, and offline mode.

How do I see who's on site today?

The Home screen shows real-time presence indicators for your team. You can see who's currently on site, when they last checked in, and their contact details. Team members can check in when they arrive at the project location.

Is my project data secure?

Absolutely. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We comply with UK GDPR requirements and never share your project information with third parties. You control who has access to your project.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account directly in the app: go to Profile → Settings → scroll to 'Danger Zone' → Delete Account. After confirming with your password, you'll have a 30-day grace period to change your mind. Simply sign back in to cancel. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted.
