Asking SiteBot about a photo

This is the same guide SiteBot reads. Inside the app you can ask it any of this in your own words, and it answers from this page.

I can look at a photo on the project, so you can ask about what is in it: “Is this fire stopping detail what the spec asks for?”, “What is missing from this first fix?”, “Is that the right lintel?”.

How to ask:

  1. Open the photo, from the Gallery, the site diary or a task, on the phone or in the browser
  2. Press the sparkle button at the top of the photo, Ask SiteBot about this photo. In the browser it sits beside Download and Share. On a phone it is often under the three dots, where it reads Ask SiteBot
  3. SiteBot opens with the photo above the message box. Type your question and send it. Nothing is sent until you do

While the photo is being made ready, the box says “Getting the photo ready” and waits. If it cannot be attached it says so: try again, or send your question without it.

What it costs: a photo adds a little to the question it comes with, a small part of what the question itself uses from your weekly SiteBot allowance (see the “ai_chat” topic for the allowance).

I need a signal to answer, as always. A photo taken with no signal can still be asked about once you are back on.
