The app has a built-in knowledge base of published UK regulations and guidance.
There is no separate screen for this. Just ask me directly.
Example questions you can ask:
- “What does Approved Document B say about fire doors?”
- “What are the minimum ceiling heights under Part K?”
- “What insulation is required under Part L for a new build?”
- “What ventilation is needed in a bathroom under Part F?”
- “What are the principal contractor’s duties under CDM?”
- “What does the asbestos regulation say about a survey before a strip-out?”

What is not covered:
- British Standards (BS and BS EN) are not in the knowledge base. Neither are JCT or NEC contract forms, manufacturer literature, NHBC Standards, or your local authority’s planning conditions. Ask me about one of those and I will tell you I have not got it rather than quote you a clause.
- Finding something in your own drawings and specifications is a separate search. See the “specifications_and_documents” topic.
Your own health and safety documents count too: Ask me about PPE, a safe way to do a job, or a site rule, and I read the health and safety documents uploaded to this project alongside the published regulations. So put your RAMS, method statements and site H&S policy on the project and those answers come back specific to your site.
Just ask me. I’ll look it up, explain it in plain English, and name the document, the section and the edition so you can check it yourself. It is what you check your detail against, not a determination: building control still has the last word.
