Snag sign-off

A snag is closed by the person entitled to close it, not by whoever fixed it.

A board called Safety and quality, described as issues, snags and inspections, open on a view tab named Snags to check. Two snags are listed, each numbered and marked with a warning triangle: a cracked plasterboard joint in a hallway, and a skirting return short at a lounge door. The other tabs read Issues and snags, Snags in context and Inspections.

Marking your own work as fixed is not the same as it being accepted. BuildersAI separates the two.

What it does

  • The person who did the work marks it as done
  • A project administrator is the one who verifies it
  • The record keeps both acts, and who performed each

Why it matters on site

Handover disputes come from snags closed by the people who caused them. Making verification a separate act by a separate person is what makes the closed list mean something.

Which plan

This is included in every plan, from £149 a month. Plans differ by how many people they seat, not by what the software does. See pricing.
