Overview of every job

Every live job's progress and money on one page, with a forecast margin worked out for each.

  • Browser
One job on the Overview: Kingsmead Groundworks, 25 of 48 tasks done and 4 late, a quote of £86,400, £31,836 spent, £11,250 still to draw on orders, a forecast margin of £43,314 (50.1%), nothing invoiced yet and £43,200 paid by the client.

Knowing which jobs are making money usually means opening a spreadsheet per job. The Overview puts every live job on one page, from the figures each job already keeps.

For how to read it each week, see our guide to which jobs are making money.

What it does

  • Open All projects and choose Overview. Each live job you run is a card
  • Each card shows how many tasks are done and how many are late, then the quote (or the agreed price once a change order is signed), what has been spent, what is still to draw on approved purchase orders, the forecast margin, what has been invoiced and what the client has paid
  • The forecast margin is the agreed price, less what has been spent, less what is still to draw
  • Click a card to open that job’s Cost Tracker, where every figure is explained

What it does not do

It does not add the jobs together, because a job kept with VAT cannot be added to one kept before it. A job kept with VAT, on cost plus or with no quote shows no margin and says why.

Who sees it

Whoever runs the job: its admins, and the owners and admins of the company.

Which plan

This is included in every plan, from £149 a month. Plans differ by how many people they seat, not by what the software does. See pricing.

How to use it

The manual page for this is in the Help Centre, and it is the same guide SiteBot reads inside the app. Read the guide.
