BuildersAI
Connected AI New

Ask your own AI to work on your jobs for you.

If your company uses Claude, connect it to BuildersAI and ask it to read and update your projects for you: the programme, the site, the documents and the money.

It works with any AI app that can add a custom connector (the industry name is MCP), including Claude in the browser, the Claude desktop app and Claude Code. For your company’s owners and admins, once one of them switches it on.

Things you can ask it

  1. 1 “What is overdue on Plot 4?”
  2. 2 “Add a task to chase the scaffolder on Monday”
  3. 3 “Who is on site at the Grain Store today?”
  4. 4 “Draft a purchase order for the scaffold, from the quote in Files”
  5. 5 “Plan next week in the people planner”
  6. 6 “Which invoices are waiting to be checked on Rookery Farm?”

Claude asks you in its own window before it uses a tool, and BuildersAI records every call it makes.

What it can do

Ask it about almost any part of the job, in plain English.

It reads what you can read in BuildersAI and makes the changes you could make, as you. It asks you in its own window before it uses a tool, unless you have told it to stop asking, and every call is recorded either way.

The programme and the work

  • Read tasks, drawings and what changed on them
  • Create tasks, one or a list, then update, complete and assign them
  • Link one task after another, label them, set their reminders
  • Arrange boards and views

The site

  • Who is on site, the site diary, photos and the weather
  • Add comments and diary entries
  • Time on site: add a shift or a break
  • Plan the week in the people planner, book plant, send stock from the lockup, record a delay

Documents

  • Read a document’s text, page by page, and its versions
  • Files and specifications on the job
  • RAMS, inductions, stage sign-offs, the card register and visitors
  • The incident register: the number, kind and status of each report, never what happened or anybody’s injury

The money, on jobs whose costs you run

  • Read the Cost Tracker, purchase orders, estimates and invoices to the client
  • Draft purchase orders, estimates and change orders
  • Add a supplier invoice from its figures, once your company lets it change money
  • Draft invoices to the client and bring a cost forward, with the same switch

You stay in charge

It gets things ready, and you decide what goes out.

Anything that leaves BuildersAI waits for you under Waiting for you to confirm, on the web and on the phone. If anything changed since you read it, you are shown the new version first. Money, and anything sent outside the company, asks for your second factor if you have one.

  • Sending an estimate, a change order or a purchase order
  • Approving a purchase order
  • An email or a tender package
  • Sending the week’s people plan
  • An announcement
  • Marking an invoice to the client ready, or sending an invoice to your books
The page Claude opens when you connect it: it will be able to see what you can see on your companies’ projects; add, change, reorder and reschedule tasks and add diary entries, comments and attachments, as you; and add supplier invoices, mark them ready to pay and draft change orders on jobs whose costs you run. It cannot change who is on a project, your plan or your billing, and it cannot delete anything. Everything it does is logged. Then Cancel and Allow.
What you see when you connect it: what it can do, and what it cannot.

Setting it up

Setting it up takes a few minutes.

  1. 1

Switch it on for your company

An owner or admin opens organisation settings, chooses Connected AI and turns on Allow connected AI. It is off until somebody does.

  2. 2

    Add BuildersAI to Claude

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the address shown in Connected AI.

  3. 3

    Allow it, and ask

Claude opens a BuildersAI page that says what it will be able to do. Sign in if asked, choose Allow, and ask it about your jobs.

FAQ

Questions about Connected AI.

Request a demo
Which AI apps does it work with?
Any AI app that can add a custom connector, the kind the industry calls MCP. That includes Claude in the browser, the Claude desktop app and Claude Code.
Who in my company can use it?
The owners and admins of a company, on that company’s projects, once one of them has switched it on. Each person connects their own app, and it works as them.
Can it send things to my clients or suppliers by itself?
No. Anything that sends, signs off or announces waits for you in BuildersAI under Waiting for you to confirm, on the web and on the phone. Each one says exactly what will happen and shows any words the AI wrote. Nothing happens unless you press Confirm, and a proposal lapses after a day.
Can it see our prices and costs?
Only on jobs whose costs you run, and only if your company allows it. Owners and admins choose whether connected AI may read money, hours, cards and people’s details, and separately whether it may change money, which is off until somebody switches it on.
What can it never do?
Delete anything, add or remove people, change anybody’s role, or change your plan, seats or billing. Reading can never change anything.
Is there a limit?
Each person can make 1,000 calls a day, of which 200 can be changes, and a company 5,000 calls a day between everybody. They start again at midnight UK time, and Connected AI shows today’s use against them.
How do we stop it?
Turning Connected AI off stops every connected app reaching the company’s projects straight away. An owner or admin can also remove one person’s access, and anybody can disconnect their own apps in their profile.
