Task invitations

Invite building control, the client or a trade to a task at a set time, and keep every answer on it.

The inspector said yes on the phone, the client accepted in their calendar and the plasterer replied to a text. On the morning, nobody is sure who is coming. An invitation sent from the task keeps every answer on it.

What it does

  • Open a task and press Invite people: pick them from your directory or type an address, and say where to meet
  • The time is the task’s, and a time set on the invitation is written back to the task, so the two agree
  • Each person gets their own email with a calendar invitation attached, naming only them, or choose to send one to them as a group
  • Every email carries Yes, Maybe and No buttons, for mail apps that show no Accept or Decline
  • They answer on a phone or a computer, with no account and nothing to install
  • A reply that says “yes, that works” can be marked as their answer
  • An answer given on the phone or in person is recorded on the task, with how they told you
  • The task lists everybody invited, whether the email reached them, and what each answered and how
  • If the task moves after the invitation has gone, it says the people invited still have the old time

Why it matters on site

If an inspector does not turn up, the task shows they were invited and said yes. That is a different conversation from “I thought somebody had rung them”.

Inviting people is a browser job. Each answer also reaches your phone as a notification.

Which plan

This is included in every plan, from £149 a month. Plans differ by how many people they seat, not by what the software does. See pricing.
